Material: 420 stainless steel.
Laser cut and molded with high precision, low deformation and low induced stress.
The dense perforated design used in the HD rotor effectively increases the heat dissipation area of the rotors.
The 12-spoke support design, coupled with internal triangular reinforcement, increases the support strength at the fixed position of the rotor, reducing the likelihood of fastener loosening caused by rotor resonance.
The surface employs a multifaceted polishing process to ensure uniform smoothness and roughness of the rotor surface.
The edges are chamfered, and all cut surfaces are coated with electrophoretic paint. This not only prevents rust but also to some extent reduces the occurrence of injuries caused by contact with the sharp edges of the rotor, thereby enhancing the safety attributes of the rotor.
Multiple specifications, suitable for E-Dirtbike.
Heat and loosening fasteners are the two problems the LEWIS HD rotor is designed around. This heavy duty rotor is cut from 420 stainless steel at 2.3mm thick, using laser cutting and integrated molding, and comes in five diameters from 180mm through 200mm, 203mm and 220mm up to 223mm.
How perforation and spokes shape the HD
The dense perforated design increases the heat dissipation area of the rotor, which matters most when braking stays on for a long time. The 12-spoke support, with internal triangular reinforcement, adds strength at the fixed position, reducing the likelihood of fastener loosening from rotor resonance.
Sizing up from 180mm to 223mm
As general guidance, a larger HD rotor brings more leverage and more braking surface, along with more mass at the wheel. Bigger diameters also usually call for a different adapter, so check your frame and fork mounts, and treat the largest size they allow as your upper limit.
Fitting a 2.3mm rotor to MTB and E-Dirtbike setups
The 44mm bolt hole distance is for MTB wheel hubs, and the HD also suits E-Dirtbike use, so read the size off your bike's existing rotor and match it. A thicker rotor may not fit every caliper, so confirm that your brake accepts 2.3mm before anything else.
- Surface: a multifaceted polishing process aims for uniform smoothness.
- Edges: chamfered, which reduces some contact injury risk, so still handle HD rotors with care.
- Cut surfaces: coated in electrophoretic paint to prevent rust.
- Hub check: 44mm bolt hole distance on your MTB hub.
- Caliper check: clearance for a 2.3mm disc.
- Bike check: E-Dirtbike owners should confirm rotor size and mount first.
Measure the hub, confirm the caliper, then choose the HD diameter within your upper limit that matches how hard you brake.
