BCD 44mm for MTB, E-Moto Front Wheel
Material: 420 stainless steel.
Laser cut and molded with high precision, low deformation and low induced stress.
The dense perforated design used in the HD rotor effectively increases the heat dissipation area of the rotors.
The 12-spoke support design, coupled with internal triangular reinforcement, increases the support strength at the fixed position of the rotor, reducing the likelihood of fastener loosening caused by rotor resonance.
The surface employs a multifaceted polishing process to ensure uniform smoothness and roughness of the rotor surface.
The edges are chamfered, and all cut surfaces are coated with electrophoretic paint. This not only prevents rust but also to some extent reduces the occurrence of injuries caused by contact with the sharp edges of the rotor, thereby enhancing the safety attributes of the rotor.
Multiple specifications, suitable for front wheel of Surron Light bee, Talaria and EMX.
Mountain bikes and E-Moto front wheels are both named for the LEWIS HD-E on a 44mm BCD. It is a 420 stainless steel rotor made by laser cutting and integrated molding, with 2.3mm and 3.0mm options across five sizes.
Starting from the bike, not the rotor
The HD-E is described as suitable for the front wheel of Surron Light Bee, Talaria and EMX, but no size is assigned to each bike. Read the diameter and thickness of the rotor already fitted to your front wheel, then match that to the HD-E options before thinking about any change.
Weighing 2.3mm against 3.0mm
A thicker rotor may not fit every caliper, so your brake decides first. As general guidance, thickness relates to heat handling and rotor life, while the 3.0mm HD-E at 223mm adds mass over the 2.3mm version, which is worth considering on a lighter mountain bike.
Why the HD-E is perforated and braced
A dense perforated design increases the heat dissipation area of the rotor. Meanwhile, the 12-spoke support with internal triangular reinforcement strengthens the fixed position, reducing the likelihood of fastener loosening from rotor resonance, and a multifaceted polishing process aims at a uniform surface on the HD-E.
- 180mm, 200mm or 223mm at 2.3mm: the thinner HD-E choices.
- 223mm at 3.0mm: the largest and thickest HD-E option.
- 160mm at 3.0mm: the size stated for E-scooters.
- Front wheel only: rear E-Moto use is not stated, so check that mount separately.
- Edges: chamfered, with electrophoretic paint on cut surfaces to prevent rust, but handle them with care.
Measure what you have, check your caliper's thickness range, and pick the HD-E size that matches your wheel and how the bike is actually used.
