LEWIS LP Series Resin Brake Pads for LV2, LV4, LH4 & LHT

Short bursts of braking are the whole point of the LEWIS LP series. This resin pad is meant for XC, street trials and other riding where stops happen at low speed or last only a moment, which makes it a very different pick from a pad meant for long descents.

Piston layout separates the three LP pads

LP-30 has a 30mm section width and is for two-piston calipers on LEWIS LV2, BB2, SL and SLR. LP-37 at 36.9mm is for four-piston calipers on LV4, LH4 and LHP-S4, while LP-40 at 40mm is for LEWIS LHT and LHP-U4, whose calipers use 4x17mm pistons.

Keeping LP pads working after you fit them

Keep oil and brake fluid off the rotor and pads during fitting, because as a general rule contaminated parts will not recover through a fresh set of LP pads alone. If your rides start to include long, hot braking, look at the LEWIS TP series, which is aimed at that job.

• XC bike with a LEWIS LV2, SL or SLR brake: LP-30.
• Street trials bike on LEWIS BB2: LP-30 again.
• Four-piston LEWIS LV4 or LH4: LP-37.
• LEWIS LHT or LHP-U4 with 4x17mm pistons: LP-40.
• Regular long descents: compare LEWIS TP pads before choosing resin.
