LEWIS LHT Brake Service Kit G1 for Lever and Caliper, No Lever Mark

Four matching caliper O-rings set the LHT apart from its LH4 sibling, and this G1 kit pairs them with a lever piston, a sleeve and the small lever parts. It is meant for LHT brakes whose lever has no mark.

Separating LHT parts from the LH4 list

The LHT and LH4 share a modified piston sleeve, which makes it tempting to treat their kits as interchangeable. They are separate kits, and the numbers do not translate: Lever #19 is a front piston O-ring on the LHT but the circlip on the LH4. Order by the model name on your brake.

Working through the caliper in one sitting

All four piston O-rings sit under one reference, Caliper #4, so there is no sorting of sizes on this side. One more O-ring, Caliper #12, seals the joint between the clamshells. As general guidance, replace rings on one piston at a time so that each bore goes back together the way it came apart.

Planning the lever half of the LHT job

The lever work takes more parts than the caliper: a piston, modified sleeve, sleeve O-rings, front and rear piston O-rings, a circlip, a spring, a diaphragm and two oil port O-rings. Circlip pliers are the usual tool for that retaining ring.

When a lever mark changes the order

Levers marked X, a, a1 or X0 fall under the G2 kit, not this one. Check the mark first, and remember that brake fluid and bleed tools are not on this parts list.

• Caliper #4 piston O-rings come as a set of four
• Caliper #12 is the clamshell O-ring
• Lever #18 is the piston and #17 the spring
• Lever #19 and #20 are the front and rear piston O-rings
• Lever #10 is the diaphragm and #22 the circlip

Read the LHT lever, lay out the parts by reference number, and start the bleed only when both halves are back together.
