This Matchmaker clears a clamp off the right side of your bar by mounting a Shimano I-Spec II shifter directly, so the shifter and brake share one mount. It is right-hand only, so make sure that is the side you are working on.

Confirming your shifter is I-Spec II

I-Spec comes in more than one mounting type, and you should not assume they interchange. Look at the model number on the shifter and check its mount type in that shifter documentation. If it turns out to be I-Spec EV, LEWIS has a separate adapter for that standard, which also has its own brake exclusion.

Settling the brake question early

Which LEWIS brake series this adapter mounts to is not stated, and that is the one question to settle before ordering, since not every LEWIS adapter fits every series. Contact the store with your brake model and ask at the same time whether bolts are supplied, as none are mentioned.

Setting cockpit position after fitting

Mounting the shifter through the brake mount ties their positions together, so reach and angle change as a pair. Fit the adapter, then move the lever and shifter along the bar until both are comfortable under your hand. Test it standing on the pedals as well as seated, since that is where you need both controls on a rough descent.
