BCD 44mm for MTB, E-Moto Front Wheel
BCD 54mm for E-Moto Rear Wheel
Material: 420 stainless steel.
Laser cut and molded with high precision, low deformation and low induced stress.
The dense perforated design used in the HD rotor effectively increases the heat dissipation area of the rotors.
The 12-spoke support design, coupled with internal triangular reinforcement, increases the support strength at the fixed position of the rotor, reducing the likelihood of fastener loosening caused by rotor resonance.
The surface employs a multifaceted polishing process to ensure uniform smoothness and roughness of the rotor surface.
The edges are chamfered, and all cut surfaces are coated with electrophoretic paint. This not only prevents rust but also to some extent reduces the occurrence of injuries caused by contact with the sharp edges of the rotor, thereby enhancing the safety attributes of the rotor.
Multiple specifications, suitable for front wheel of Surron Light bee, Talaria and EMX.
Fit Notes
- 3mm rotors work with LEWIS EP8 and EP6 calipers only. 2.3mm rotors work with all LEWIS brakes.
- The 54mm bolt pattern is for the Surron Light Bee rear hub. On any other brand, measure your hub before ordering.
Start with the hub, not the diameter. The LEWIS HD-E rotor comes with two different bolt patterns, and a rotor with the wrong pattern simply cannot go on the bike, so settle that before anything else.
44mm or 54mm: what your hub calls for
A 44mm BCD is for an MTB or e-moto front wheel, and a 54mm BCD is for an e-moto rear wheel. Take a look at the bolt holes on the wheel you are working on, because a front and a rear rotor from this range will not swap places with each other.
How the four sizes map to each wheel
On a 44mm front hub you can choose 223mm x 2.3mm or 223mm x 3.0mm, with the front wheel of the Surron Light Bee, Talaria and EMX named as suitable. On a 54mm rear hub the choices are 223mm x 3.0mm and 220mm x 3.0mm, so check the bolt pattern on your own rear hub before ordering.
What the laser-cut 12-spoke layout is doing
Laser cutting and integrated molding aim for low deformation and low induced stress in the 420 stainless steel. The 12-spoke support and internal triangular reinforcement strengthen the fixed position, which reduces the likelihood of fasteners loosening under rotor resonance.
- Front pattern: 44mm BCD, in 2.3mm or 3.0mm thickness
- Rear pattern: 54mm BCD, in 3.0mm thickness
- Diameters: 223mm on both, plus 220mm on the rear
- Dense perforations add heat dissipation area
- Multifaceted polishing evens out the HD-E rotor surface
- Chamfered edges and electrophoretic paint guard cut surfaces against rust
Before you settle on thickness, check what your caliper and pads will accept, since that is not something the HD-E rotor can decide for you. Fit it, spin the wheel, and make sure the rotor passes cleanly before the first ride.
