Titanium Bolts
LEWIS-FX stem, excellent design, extreme performance, extraordinary handling experience.
Optimized for high-intensity use, it is lightweight and at the same time has the same rigidity and strength as the Downhill stem.
Clamp Width: 70mm
Center distance: 40mm
Fork bore: 28.6mm
Handlebar cross bore: 35mm
FX-Ti stem (Titanium Bolts): 140g, 12g lighter than the FX Stainless Steel Bolts Version
Colors: Silver, Black, Purple, Blue, Orange, Nebula and Golden Jade
The LEWIS FX-Ti gives a 35mm mountain bike cockpit the FX stem layout at a lower stem weight, thanks to its titanium bolts. It shares bar and fork fit with the stainless FX, so measuring will not decide between them; how much you value that saving will.
When Titanium Bolts Make Sense for You
The titanium bolts are the stated reason the FX-Ti comes in lighter than the stainless version. If you are already chasing small savings across a bike built for high-intensity riding, it fits that plan; if the build is not weight-focused, the stainless FX gives you the same stem layout.
What Stays the Same Across the FX Stems
The 7075-T6 aluminum body, CNC machined, keeps its 35mm handlebar cross bore, 28.6mm fork bore, 40mm center distance and 40mm stack height. Your hands land in the same place on either version, so settle bar and steerer first and treat the bolt material as a separate decision made afterward.
Looking After Titanium Hardware During Fitting
As general guidance, titanium bolts usually get a thin film of anti-seize on the threads and should come up in small, even steps. No torque figure is stated, so follow any value printed on the stem, and seat the single-end locking face evenly before the larger bolts on the non-locking end take their final turn.
- Pick the FX-Ti if a lighter stem is a real priority on this build.
- Settle fit once: a 35mm bar and a steerer matching the 28.6mm fork bore.
- Center your bar markings across the 70mm clamp width and 15mm one-sided contact.
- Bring the titanium bolts up in even steps with a torque wrench.
- Choose from Black, Silver, Purple, Orange, Blue, Nebula or Golden Jade.
Rise and e-bike use are the two points to ask about before you commit, if bar height is tight or your bike has a motor.
Technology
Single-end Locking Design

Single-end locking design, reinforced locking end face strength while reducing the impact of stress accumulation caused by improper installation on the overall strength of use.
Larger Bolts Design

Non-locking end faces are designed with larger bolts to enhance the strength of the stem.
Titanium Bolts

Titanium bolts version to reduce weight
Clamping width: 70mm

The width of thr clamping is 70mm, which is 3mm-4mm wider than the commonly seen upright handlebars, giving FX stem the same rigidity performance as the upright handlebars for high-speed descents.
Handlebar Clamping contact width: 15mm

The unilateral contact width has reached 15mm, reducing the stress accumulation between the handle bar and the stem, thus extending the lifespan.
