Fit Notes

• The caliper has a +20mm post mount offset built in. A bike that normally runs a 200mm rotor needs a 220mm rotor with the same adapter setup.
• The lever works on either side of the bar, and the caliper works front or rear.
• It arrives bled and ready to ride. The no-leak connector lets you take the hose off the lever without losing oil or rebleeding.
• Extra large pads are made in two versions, one for 3mm rotors and one for 2.3mm rotors.

One brake for two kinds of bike is an appealing idea, but an EMTB and an electric off-road motorcycle ask different things of the same parts. The LEWIS EP6-II is intended for both, so check these points on your own bike before you settle on it.

Rotor thickness the EP6-II expects

LEWIS 2.3mm rotors are recommended, and other brands of rotor from 2.3mm to 3.0mm thick are the stated range. The matching sizes are HD220-54mm at 220mm x 3mm and HD220-44mm at 180, 200 or 220mm x 2.3mm, so measure what you have first.

What a built-in PM-PM+20 adapter saves you

The post mount caliper has a PM-PM+20 adapter built in, so no separate adapter and rotor guard are needed. Your frame or fork mount still has to suit a post mount caliper, and you should use the correct size disc rotors with it.

Hose lengths on longer-travel bikes

The K28 black braided hose is 110cm at the front and 165cm at the rear, with a 5mm outside diameter and 2.2mm bore. Run a piece of string along your intended route with the suspension compressed, since the hose must reach at full travel.

Lever setup and service habits

Set reach with the provided 2mm Allen key, then loosen the fixed screw and turn the knob to tune leverage ratio. The system uses DOT 5.1 fluid in a large oil reservoir, so as a general caution keep it off paint and never top it up with mineral oil.

Whichever bike you fit it to, test it slowly before relying on it, and confirm that the axial lever sits comfortably on your bars.
