LEWIS adopts high-strength composite material as the protective surface material, with high impact strength, high bending strength.
The prosafe is mounted with two adjustable options.
Fit Notes
- Also suits E-Moto bikes such as Surron.
A handguard only helps if it sits where your fingers actually are, so the LEWIS Prosafe is worth setting up with patience, whether on a mountain bike, dirt bike or e-bike.
Checking Your Bar Against the 22mm Clamp
The Prosafe clamp has a 22mm inner diameter, so measure the bar right beside your grips first. Lock-on collars, shifter clamps and brake perches can crowd that space, so check that the CNC-machined 7075 aluminum clamp has room to close around the bar.
Finding the Right Angle and Position
The recommended starting point is a support set between horizontal and minus 10 degrees from the ground. Most MTB handlebars sweep backward, so mount the support close to the grips to keep the guard in front of your hands, where it also catches less wind.
Choosing Between the Two Mounting Options
The Prosafe offers two adjustable mounting options, chosen by hand size and riding habits. Hold the bar as you would on a descent and check that your fingers reach the levers freely; if the guard crowds them, switch to the other option.
What the Composite Guard Can and Cannot Do
The protective surface is a high-strength composite with some room to bend, which helps it ease a knock instead of simply breaking. Treat it as added cover on tight, overgrown trails; no handguard can promise to prevent injury.
- Measure the bar beside the grip and confirm it matches the 22mm clamp.
- Check the space around levers and shifters, as lever clearance varies.
- Start with the support between horizontal and minus 10 degrees.
- Pick the mounting option that suits your hand size and habits.
- Recheck the clamp after your first ride and after any hard knock.
Once the position feels natural, the compact shape should stay out of your way on technical trail sections.
Technology
High-strength composite material

LEWIS adopts high-strength composite material as the protective surface material, with high impact strength, high bending strength and other characteristics, is not easy to break when receiving the impact, there is a certain amount of bending space to ease the impact and protect the hands.
Precise clamp for CNC machining

Precise clamp for CNC machining, clamp inner diameter is 22mm
High flexural strength to cushion huge impacts

Compact size avoids distraction on intense trails. The curved shape of the protective design can effectively protect your finger joints from injury, so that you can concentrate more on facing the challenges of the track in the dense jungle. Even if you fall, the superb bending strength can cushion the impact and protect the rider.
Two adjustable options

The Prosafe is mounted with two adjustable options that can be selected according to the individual's different usage habits or hand size.
Installation recommendations

For optimum protection, it's recommended that the support be mouted horizonttally to minus 10° from the ground.
Mouting close to the grips

Due to the fact that most MTB handlebar on the market are designed to float backward, the Support needs to be mounted close to the grips in order to achieve the best protection and the lowest wind resistance for the hands.
