Fit Notes

• The recommended adapter for LEWIS LHP-U4, LHP-S4 and LHP-S6 brakes that need PM/PM+20.
• Mounting bolts are not included.

LHP-U4, LHP-S4 and LHP-S6 riders are the audience, since LEWIS highly recommends this -A adapter whenever one of those brakes needs a PM/PM+20 step. If that describes your bike, your search can be fairly short.

How the -A compares with the standard +20

Both cover the same rotor steps, 140 to 160, 160 to 180 and 180 to 200, on a 74mm post mount, so rotor choice will not separate them. The difference that matters is the LHP recommendation attached to this model. LEWIS does not give its reasoning, so take it as advice for those three brakes only.

Torque and mounting on a 74mm post

Mounting bolts on this adapter are specified at 6-8Nm, so have a torque wrench that reads in that range. Bring both bolts up gradually while holding the caliper square to the rotor. It is not stated whether bolts come with the adapter, so check before the bike is in the stand.

Fork and frame limits still apply

An adapter makes a bigger rotor physically possible, but it does not change what your frame or fork allows. Check the maximum rotor size in your frame or fork documents before stepping up. If your brake is not one of the three named LHP models, its fit is not confirmed, so ask first.

Spin the wheel after fitting and listen for pad rub, because a small caliper adjustment now is much easier than chasing a noise out on the trail.
