As general guidance, a larger front rotor suits long road descents, and this FM-F adapter gives you that step, or keeps your original size, from one part with two ways to install it. So the first job is deciding which rotor you want on your road bike front brake.
Working out your rotor from the fork
Find the rotor size your fork originally supports, usually in the frame or fork documents. Installed to the FM-F +0 indicator, the adapter keeps that size. Installed to the FM-F +20 indicator, the used rotor diameter becomes the original plus 20mm, and absolute sizes are not given beyond that rule.
Installing to the right indicator
Each setting has its own indicator, FM-F +20 and FM-F +0, so read them before tightening anything. Install according to the one for your target rotor, then test fit the caliper over the rotor by hand. If the pads do not center on the rotor, take it off and recheck which indicator you followed.
Fork check before you order
This adapter is described for a road bike front fork with a 70mm FM-F mounting seat, and the rear is not mentioned. Measure your fork rather than assuming. Mounting bolts are not stated, so ask about them before ordering and check that any bolts you use suit the extra thickness of an adapter.
