Three questions decide whether the LEWIS ALU crankset suits your bike: which crank length, which spindle width and which chainring. Working through them in order takes a few minutes, and it saves you from finding out at fitting time that one part does not match.

Settling on Your Crank Length First

This crank is confirmed at 155mm and 162.5mm. Work out which suits you and ask which length is supplied before ordering, along with any longer length you may want. Riders on DJI or Bosch motor bikes have a 155mm length to look at, though specific motor models are not named, so check your motor before you commit to this option.

Matching Spindle Width to Your Frame

All three stated widths use a 29mm DUB Boost spindle: 29x100mm, 29x113mm and 29x118mm. The 29x100mm version has a 179mm Q-factor, and a 70mm bottom bracket specification is also stated, so check your frame's shell, work out which width you need, and ask which width is supplied before ordering.

Sorting the Chainring and Bottom Bracket Together

Chainrings using the 8-bolt SRAM interface fit this forged 7075 aluminum crank, but whether a ring or bottom bracket comes in the box is not stated. Budget for both unless you confirm otherwise, and choose a bottom bracket that matches the SRAM-DUB specification so your installation goes smoothly.

• Ask which crank length is supplied: 155mm, 162.5mm or longer.
