Moving a lever or replacing a damaged clamp is the job for this split LEWIS clamp, cut from 7075 T6 aluminum for LH and LV Series brakes and described as fitting carbon and aluminum handlebars alike. It holds your lever in place, so a careful fit matters.
Closing the split clamp on your bar
The split design means the clamp closes around the bar in two halves, with a long bolt and a short bolt. Line up the halves so that the gap is even, start both bolts by hand, then bring them in gradually side to side. Note where the long bolt goes before you remove the old clamp.
Bar material and clamp torque
Both clamp bolts are specified at 2-3N·m with a 3mm hex wrench, and they are stainless steel. On carbon, also respect any limit marked on the bar and use a torque tool, not feel. Bar diameter is not stated, so check yours and ask first if your bar is out of the ordinary.
Pairing with LEWIS Matchmakers
The clamp is described as compatible with LEWIS Matchmakers, which is useful if you want a shifter sharing the mount. Not every adapter suits every series, though: the LEWIS adapter for Shimano I-Spec EV shifters is noted as not fitting LV brakes. Check the exact combination of brake and adapter before you buy both.
